Quarantine area for car dealerships and workshops

Take in damaged electric vehicles without rebuilding the yard and without handing the job over.

Electric vehicle in the Dry Fire Con on a workshop yard

Car dealerships and vehicle workshops that take in an electric vehicle after an accident need a parking space with a safety distance and monitoring over several days, because a damaged lithium-ion battery can catch fire with a delay. The Dry Fire Con provides this space on any paved, level surface — without a foundation, without a power supply or fire water connection, and without permanently blocking operating space.

What changes in day-to-day operations

For a car dealership or workshop, a quarantine area is not a matter of precaution but a matter of space, jobs and proof.

The job stays in-house

If you cannot park a damaged electric vehicle safely, you have to hand it over. The vehicle takes the repair job with it, along with the coordination with the assessor and the insurer, and often the customer as well. Your own quarantine area keeps the case in your business.

Always ready to receive, without moving cars around

An open quarantine area with a safety distance permanently ties up space on which several vehicles could otherwise stand — and in everyday operations it ends up being used as a parking space anyway. The container is a fixed, reserved space: when a damaged vehicle is delivered, nobody has to move cars, cordon anything off or improvise.

Set it down instead of building

A compliant quarantine area with containment and safety distances is a construction project involving planning and the authorities. The Dry Fire Con, by contrast, is simply set down: no foundation, no power supply and no fire water connection. Whether a permit or consultation with the authorities is required in an individual case depends on the applicable building regulations, the location and the use.

Works on rented premises too

If your business premises are rented, you cannot build a permanent quarantine area. The container belongs to your business, can be relocated and moves with you if you change sites.

Store and transport in one unit

The container is certified by TÜV SÜD for load securing to VDI 2700 Part 8. The vehicle does not have to be reloaded for removal; it stays in the container.

Documented for insurers and authorities

Insurers regularly reduce or dispute surcharges for high-voltage quarantine. The certificate number, the expert assessment and the test report are the evidence with which the measure can be justified on technical grounds.
